Incessant rains continued to lash Dakshina Kannada and Udupi for the third consecutive day on Saturday. In fact, the heavy rains on Saturday have brought alive the memories of yesteryears when it used to rain cats and dogs for days together.
Though the rains have brought relief to the citizens of coastal district, it has also brought miseries to them. Several low-lying areas have been innundated with flash floods.
At the same time, though there are four more days for the ban on fishing, fishermen have already started to anchor their boats.
The Dakshina Kannada district has recieved 328.82 mm. of rain till June 6.
